Tip on Making Your Wedding Timeline Work with Your Wedding Photo Coverage
1. Book enough coverage
Listen, I completely understand photography coverage can be expensive. Long coverage days are not for everyone and on top of planning for + paying for everything else, I completely get wanting to save money in every aspect that you can! But I promise, your photography package is well worth the splurging. At the end of the day, your photographs are what youโll have forever. Theyโll be what keeps this day alive in your memory forever. Book the extra coverage. You wonโt regret it.
2. Book your start time to begin once everyone is ready
Many people want to cover ALL aspects of your day, however, sometimes the morning-of is just a lot of sitting around without hair and make up done! Save your coverage and have your photographer come when everyone is ready and youโre ready to get dressed!
3. Consider faux exits
Wanting a sparkler exit but your coverage ends before the end of the night? Consider a faux sparkler exit! A faux sparkler exit is still a sparkler exit, but instead of departing after your exit, you get to go back in and party with the rest of your guests! No one will ever know by looking at the photos it was a faux exit! This saves on your photography covers but also allows you to incorporate whatโs important to you!
4. really consider what you want out of your group photos
Recently, Iโve been hearing from a LOT of brides that theyโre not super interested in wedding party shots. By eliminating or cutting back on photos that you might never look at again, you can allow for time in the timeline where it really matters.
5. Make a family shot list and stick to it!
Hands down the easiestttt way to make your day run smoothly and allow you more flexibility in your timeline - make a family shot list and stick to it! Get the photos you want, but try to avoid adding in random photos that werenโt in the initial gameplan. This helps us breeze through family portraits like itโs nothing, helps keep us on track with our timeline, allows your family go enjoy cocktail hour or your reception, and gives you more private time with your new hubby/wifey.
