The beautiful greenhouse in the backyard of Kinsey Event Warehouse.

If you’ve been dreaming of a wedding that breaks the mold, where bold colors, disco balls, and an epic karaoke battle take center stageβ€”then Lauren and Shane’s wedding at the Kinsey Event Center in Pittsburgh, PA is sure to inspire. Their August 24th, 2024 celebration was nothing short of a wild time, with every detail reflecting their vibrant personalities and the love they share. Let’s dive in.

The Vibes: Eclectic, bold, and honestly, Unforgettable

Lauren and Shane were all about fun, energy, and making their wedding theirsβ€”and it showed! This wedding is one I’ll be thinking about for years. From the moment guests arrived at the Kinsey Event Center, they were greeted with an explosion of color. Let’s go back in time here, and picture this: bold pinks, oranges, and greens throughout every corner of the venue, unbelievable floral installs (literally jaw-dropping) by the ever-so-talented Copper Petal, all thoughtfully coordinated to bring an eclectic, funky atmosphere to life. And don’t even get me started on the disco balls! This added the perfect amount of flare, creating a playful vibe that turned the entire space into a perfect mix of groovy yet tasteful. We worked with Holly from Wynn Events from start to finish on this gorgeous day and she could not have made the day more seamless. Wynn Event’s team was unmatched and I’m sure the day could not have gone as incredible as it did without their work! They truly brought Lauren and Shane’s vision to life.

We can’t move on from the details of the day without mentioning the STUNNING and delicious cake from Bethel Bakery. The perfect touch to the most adorable β€œJust Married” wedding cake? Lauren and Shane’s pup Otto :’)

We also got to bring our 3rd shooter along to this wedding, *que our TK Photobooth* and she got some killer shots of family and friends.

Lauren’s Morning: A Bridal Suite Full of Love, Laughter, and paolo

Lauren’s wedding morning was a beautiful blend of excitement and laughter. She and her besties spent the morning in the spacious and gorgeous bridal suite at Kinsey Event Warehouse, where the energy was nothing short of contagious. Lauren’s group of bridesmaids can be described as the ultimate hype squadβ€”fun, goofy, and ready to support their girl every step of the way. From shared laughs over getting ready, and re-creating Paolo’s makeover scene from Princess Diaries β€œ Only Paolo can take THIS & THIS and give you." "A Princess", (IYKYK), to the touching first look with her father, it was clear that Lauren had surrounded herself with a circle of love, positivity, and truly the most supportive beings. Lauren and her closest friends and family spent the morning getting pampered by Jae Lee Paredes Makeup and Bri Miller Hair (Brianna Fossick), and let me just tell you- they all looked STUNNING. Lauren truly found the glam dream team with these two.

The first look with Lauren and her father was such a heartwarming moment, with tears and smiles all around. It’s those intimate, emotional moments that really set the tone for the rest of the day. Lauren read her private note from Shane with tears in her eyes, as her wedding party sat and listened, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the bridal suite (including me). Shane’s note was the finishing touch she needed to walk down the aisle to marry her best friend.

Shane’s Morning: Fun, a little Wild, and Full of Anticipation

I’m transporting us from Kinsey Event Warehouse to Pittsburgh Sheraton Airport Hotel, Shane and his groomsmen were getting readyβ€”and prepping Shane for one of the best moments of his life. With drinks in hand and an endless supply of laughs, the groom and his crew were all about hyping Shane up for the big day. Their vibe? Goofy, loving, and supportive. These guys were definitely all in when it came to supporting their friend and celebrating the love he had found with Lauren. You could feel the excitement building as the guys shared stories and pumped each other up for the ceremony ahead. After some game day photos and some drinks, Shane sat to read his private note from Lauren. Shane remained composed but emotional as he stood up ready to head out to marry the love of his life.

The Ceremony: A Warehouse Wedding with a Heartfelt Twist

Lauren and Shane’s ceremony took place in Kinsey Event Warehouse’s chic, industrial-style warehouse space. The raw, urban backdrop provided the perfect contrast to the bright, funky colors of their wedding design.

As Lauren walked down the aisle toward Shane, it was clear these two were not only madly in love, but also completely in sync with one another. Their ceremony was simple, yet deeply meaningfulβ€”a reflection of their balanced, carefree relationship. The vows they exchanged were full of humor, sincerity, and the kind of connection that makes you believe in soulmates. As they read their individual vows, Lauren paid a special tribute to Shane’s late mother, who had sadly passed. There was not a dry eye in the warehouse. They sealed their vows with a beautiful kiss and a KILLER dip-kiss during their post-ceremony walk back down the aisle.

Their pup, Otto, was a key part of the day, making a cameo during their portrait session and adding an extra dose of joy to the celebration. A huge shout out to Bow Wow Weddings for bringing Otto just in time for his big moment with mom and dad. Bow Wow Weddings took such great care of Otto and they were so helpful during the portrait process with Otto, always offering a treat or a squeak from his toy to get him to focus in the camera’s direction. As someone whose dog is like their child, I understand how important it is to include your pup in your big day, but also how stressful the logistics can be getting them to and from your big day when your family is already a part of your wedding day. Bow Wow Weddings made this process absolutely seamless. Lauren and Shane’s portrait sessions with family, friends, and wedding party remained light and candid which made it so enjoyable.

We utilized the many backdrops Kinsey has to offer, including the rustic side of the warehouse which remains rusted but SO dreamy with hydrangeas galore, the stage of doors in the back of the warehouse which is something out of a dream, and a red vintage truck that was parked out back. My favorite portrait spot has to be the greenhouse around the back of the warehouse. It was cozy and intimate, full of greenery, and SO inviting. Their portraits truly left me speechless.

The Reception: Karaoke battles, Dancing, and Endless laughter

Once the ceremony was done, it was time to celebrate. The reception was the ultimate party, with guests gathering around to toast to Lauren and Shane’s love. The speeches were heartfelt, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. There was a lovely dinner provided by Bridge City Brinery. Lauren and Shane took a unique approach and instead of having everyone seated for dinner, a food truck was provided outside of the warehouse to serve guests their meals. Shout out to Bridge City Brinery for some of the best food that’s ever graced my mouth!!

When the dancing started, it was very clear, it was gonna be a LONG and wild night (in the best way). DJ Booch with Loyalty Wedding & Events got the evening started hot. Enter the karaoke battleβ€”the ultimate wedding reception showdown. Lauren and Shane’s competitive sides came out to play as they faced off in a lively, hilarious karaoke competition.

Shane’s rendition of β€œBreak Stuff” by Limp Bizkit had everyone rolling on the floor with laughter (because it was so phenomenal ;) ). Quickly after, Lauren’s wedding party came out like the best pop band, with earpieces and all, belting β€œThis Is What Dreams Are Made Of”. This immediately took me back to my 12-year-old self singing at the top of my lungs to the Lizzie McGuire Movie and I was in a state of bliss. Side note, Aaron Woods Productions got evidence of ALL of this on video, so please go check him out. Aaron is not only a knowledgeable and extremely talented videographer; he is so pleasant to work with on a wedding day. We’ve got the pleasure of working with Aaron many times over the last few years and he creates magic every dang time.

After karaoke, Lauren and Shane’s wedding party along with all guests joined in, turning the dance floor into a high-energy celebration of music, laughter, and pure joy. The atmosphere was electric, with guests of all ages dancing the night away, surrounded by disco balls and the vibrant glow of celebration. We definitely have DJ Booch with Loyalty Wedding & Events to thank for this. DJ Booch kept this energy all night and leaned into all the unique aspects to Lauren and Shane’s reception. The drinks were definitely flowing and so were the dance moves.

They ended the night with all of their guests in a circle, surrounding them dancing, singing, laughing, and hugging. Bringing to a close one of the most perfect days with exactly what started it, laughter, light, and support.

The whole reception was a true reflection of Lauren and Shane’s carefree, fun-loving spirits. It was lively, energetic, and full of personalityβ€”just like these two amazing humans.

A Private Last Dance: Ending the Night on a blissful High

After hours of dancing, the night came to a close with a private last dance for Lauren and Shane. It was a sweet, intimate moment between the couple, a quiet celebration of the day that had been full of so much love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Their wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are as a coupleβ€”balanced, carefree, and nurturing towards one another. As they closed out the night surrounded by their closest friends and family, you could feel the warmth and deep connection between them, and you knew they were ready to start this next chapter together.

Lauren and Shane’s wedding at Kinsey Event Center was a stunning example of how a wedding can be a true reflection of the couple’s personality without sacrificing your β€œwedding vibe”. With vibrant colors, funky details, and a whole lot of heart, this summer wedding was nothing short of amazing. If you’re looking to plan a wedding that’s as unique as you are, take a page out of Lauren and Shane’s book and go all in on what makes you happy. After all, your wedding day is about celebrating your loveβ€”and it should be a day that’s as unforgettable as the two of you.

A huge thank you to Shane and Lauren for the trust, kindness, and laughter they shared with us on their special day, it was truly one I will remember forever.
